Movistar Declares War on Spam Calls: 15 Million Fraudulent Calls Blocked Monthly

Movistar has just launched its campaign 'Vuelve a contestar ¿sí?' alongside a new network-level spam filter. The system uses predictive models to analyze call behavior in real time, labeling suspicious calls as 'Spam' or 'Fraudulent call' directly on your screen.

According to Telefónica, since March 2025 their system has blocked over 190 million fraudulent calls in Spain, with a detection rate of around 97%. The service is automatic, free, and enabled by default for most customers.
