Block-Spam 3.5 for iPhone: SMS Filtering, Auto-Updating Spam List & More

We just rolled out Block-Spam 3.5.0 for iPhone — our biggest iOS update yet. It keeps everything you already trust (on-device call blocking, your own blocklist, wildcard rules and the community spam database) and adds the features iPhone users have been asking for most. Here's what's new.

The headline: SMS filtering now works. Spam texts are detected and filtered out automatically, so the junk lands out of your way instead of buzzing your phone. Combined with call blocking, that's both sides of the spam problem covered in one app.

Your protection also stays fresh on its own. The community spam-number list now updates automatically in the background, so newly reported numbers are blocked without you lifting a finger. We also rebuilt the number Lookup screen — paste any number from your call log and instantly check whether it's flagged as spam — plus the usual round of stability improvements.

And the tools that make Block-Spam different are all here on iPhone: build a personal blocklist, block whole regions with wildcard patterns like “209*” to stop neighbor-spoofing, and switch on whitelist mode when you want only your saved contacts to get through. You decide exactly who reaches you.
